Emily Rasmussen is a whimsical Ravenclaw who deeply identifies with Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. She isn't always the biggest fan of change, but she believes the connections we form through words and writing can make change easier. She also believes in learning something new every day—whether it's from a science textbook or from a fellow human.
Emily is fascinated by the way the internet has shifted how we communicate, and she loves lurking on Weird Twitter, discovering pointless websites, and finding new content creators to follow. She spent way too much time on the internet while writing this essay—but she also spends way too much time on the internet in general, so what's new?
Emily often feels nostalgic for her high school AP English Literature class (which she really, really loved), which is why she based the title of this essay on a poem the class once discussed. (She got an A in the course, but she tries not to be an egocentric introvert about it.)
